This very interesting and moving ABC program begins with Southern Cross Wildlife Care volunteer, and former Miss World, Belinda Green and some of the life changing events in her life, including meeting renowned veterinarian Dr Howard Ralph. The story looks at Howard and Glenda Ralph’s extraordinary work establishing and running their charity (SCWC) and animal clinic. Tree of Compassion’s Director, Tania Duratovic, appears on the program in interviews and her recounting of the disaster response work with Dr Ralph after the Black Saturday bushfires is moving. Overall, this Australian Story episode is a great snapshot of some of the compassionate and dedicated work of people working to help animals that might otherwise have a horrible death or simply be put down. Tree of Compassion is very proud to be supporting SCWC and the Ralphs’ dedicated work. If you would like to donate to Dr Ralph’s work through our website, just let us know to direct it there. We do regular visits to help out and donate funds and in-kind.
