Successful Move of Animal Liberation Sanctuary, Nepal

The animals of the Animal Liberation Sanctuary finally made the move to their new home this week. The new facilities at land nearby to Kopan Monastery were completed allowing around 30 goats and 2 sheep from the monastery and around 20 goats from the nunnery to make a well-planned but hair-raising journey (in 5 groups) to the new shelters. The new facilities will provide much better shelter and conditions for the animals ongoing care after being rescued from roadside butchers over the years by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Thanks to all those who have donated and supported the project over the years. While this is a significant milestone, there is still much to be done and the ongoing care is a significant challenge. Your continued support is welcome as without it the project could not succeed!
