Compassion in Action! Actions can be by thought, through speech, writing or using images, or getting off the chair and into hands-on activities. The most effective actions are those that come from a good motivation and that are well-considered.
Tree of Compassion hopes that your actions of compassion are grounded (roots in the earth), supportive to others (like a trunk and branches), have grand aspirations but are realistic and content with what can be achieved (like leaves stretching to the sky, yet connected to and nourishing the whole).
The actions suggested on the website provide opportunities for everyday activities that can help reduce harm, as well as particular issues where more immediate help is required.
