How to Help

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”  Leo Tolstoy

There are many things we can do to help make our world a better place for others and ourselves. If we expect others to change their ways, we too should be prepared to make changes. If we expect others to do ‘the right thing’, then we should help them to know our views – whether it is buying more ethical products, avoiding harmful ones, writing to our politicians or to newspapers, going to peaceful rallies and protests or supporting individuals and organisations that can speak on our behalf. Even making a wish! The power of prayer has long been valued by spiritual traditions and has been shown scientifically to have benefits. Don’t underestimate your powers to influence the world you live in!
